Supplement Advertisers Warned for Non-Compliant Advertising

The Natural Products Foundation (NPF) alerted the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to 22 dietary supplement advertisers that were not in compliance with marketing regulations. The violative advertisers were first notified by the NPF as part of their Truth in Advertising program, a proactive effort at self-regulation. After they failed to modify their materials, the NPF referred the matter to the FTC.
