OTC Perspectives Magazine Names Top Consumer Health Care Marketers of the Year

Friday, 08 May 2009, 10:06 AM

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (May 8, 2009) — OTC Perspectives Magazine, the new publication created by consumer healthcare marketers for consumer healthcare marketers, has named its inaugural annual list of “The Top OTC/Healthcare Marketers of the Year.”

The 2009 list includes marketers from both established and upstart manufacturers, with Procter & Gamble,
Johnson & Johnson, and Novartis Consumer Health among the companies with multiple Top Marketer
selections (see complete list below). Overall, marketers representing 13 companies have been awarded
the prestigious OTC Perspectives’ Top Marketers honor.

"These outstanding consumer healthcare marketing professionals are this year's top contributors to the advancement of both consumer health and the bottom line via informative, leading edge marketing communications," said DTC Perspectives Inc. chairman Robert Ehrlich. "There are a lot of awards for advertising campaigns, but no award to recognize the individual marketers behind the innovative OTC Marketing campaigns," he continued. The inaugural Top Marketers' members were selected after an industry-wide nomination and rigorous screening process. OTC Manufacturer companies, their agencies and supplier partners were invited to submit nominations. "The awardees were selected from many worthy candidates. We intentionally did not rank within the Top Marketers list because each contribution is uniquely significant," commented Ehrlich.

The 2009 award recipients will be honored at a special luncheon during the OTC National Conference June 4-5, 2009 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel hosted by Everyday Health.

"Everyday Health is delighted to join OTC Perspectives in recognizing this year's Top OTC Marketers," said Scott Wolf, Executive Vice President, Sales."These individuals play an important role in driving innovation in their field."

The Top OTC/Healthcare Marketers list highlights a broad range of people with consumer healthcare marketing responsibilities, including marketing executives, consumer insights specialists, media directors and specialists in digital and relationship marketing efforts.
