Cough and Cold OTC Market to See Stable Growth in Sales

From 2007 to 2012, the Cough and Cold OTC industry will increase about 1.2% annually to $2.3 billion in revenue, according to a new report from IBISWorld. This can be attributed to several factors, including “occurrence and severity of cold and flu seasons, and changes in private health insurance coverage.” The research also found that private labels will become more popular among consumers, thus they will continue to be a source of competition to the industry.
